Opening Attempt Rate
OAR%CS2v0.1.0 · experimental · validated 2026-07-16What it measures
How often a player is part of the round's first duel — a style fingerprint separating space-takers from late-round players.
Formal definition
Rounds where the player was attacker or victim of the round's first kill ÷ rounds played.
Inputs
- kill events with opening linkage
- rounds played
Exclusions
None beyond the standard confidence floor.
Sample & population
- Minimum sample
- 100 rounds
- Baseline population
- Players in the same game/window; read within role
- Direction
- neutral
- Unit
- %
Percentile interpretation
Neutral: high = entry-heavy usage, low = late-round roles.
Confidence = source confidence × model confidence. Values from baseline models are capped at 0.7. Below-minimum samples display the value grayed out with no percentile.
Example
An entry with first contact in 34 of 120 rounds → 28.3%.
Known limitations
- Attempts that end without a kill (utility forces a reset) are invisible in v0
- Not yet computed in the preview corpus — definition published ahead of engine support.
