Average Elimination Distance
DISTFNv0.1.0 · experimental · validated 2026-07-16Computed · experimental. Values are computed, but the definition or model may still change.
What it measures
Mean engagement distance on eliminations — separates snipers from box fighters.
Formal definition
Σ elimination distance ÷ eliminations that record a distance.
Inputs
- elimination events with distance
Exclusions
None beyond the standard confidence floor.
Sample & population
- Minimum sample
- 20 eliminations
- Baseline population
- Players in the same window
- Direction
- neutral
- Unit
- m
Percentile interpretation
Neutral style descriptor; weapon splits sharpen it.
Confidence = source confidence × model confidence. Values from baseline models are capped at 0.7. Below-minimum samples display the value grayed out with no percentile.
Example
Median fights at 140m mark a long-range style.
Known limitations
- A mean over a bimodal shape: a player who only box-fights and only snipes reads like one who does neither
- Eliminations with no distance recorded leave the sample entirely
